The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The support place established for intervention ordeals a higher influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your status sassa office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to allow the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
